Hello Welcome to my blog!

LATCHO DROM oil on linen 30″x40″ 2012

Hi Welcome to my new blog. I will take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little about myself. I am currently living in Indiana. I live in my studio while I am searching for the perfect property to buy. I am looking for an old barn to renovate and add on to. I want to make the upstairs into a living space and art studio and keep the downstairs for my horses. Right now I have my dream horse from childhood. A black Arabian Hayyar El Aswad or Hadji as we call him around the barn . He is gorgeous and so smart. He had no prior training before he came to me so we have embarked on this journey together. He is going well under saddle and we are ready to move on to more intricate moves. I He is also learning tricks as we are hoping to perform in some entertainment venues in the future.  He is learning to spanish walk, bow, waltz. Next we will move on to sitting, laying down and rearing. I ride him dressage but am interested in doing theatrical performance as opposed to competitive riding.

After having several careers and living all over the world I returned to my home to finish art school which I began in Atlanta GA. School lead to to such far away places as China and France. I finished up and graduated from John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis IN. Since then i have continued to learn and paint and grow my body of work. I was recently represented by the Fayette Gallery in Lexington Kentucky. I delivered ten paintings to them just a couple of weeks ago and she wants more. I am looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them. I also have some work at The Stable Woman Habit store in Geneva Illinois. I do custom portraits in oil paint on stretched linen. I also have a series about performers both human and equine currently performing in contemporary horse theatrical venues. This is a huge influence on my work. My favorites are Zingaro, Cavalia, Odysseo, and Ma’Ceo. I love the combination of theater, music, lights, costumes and horses. My other work references my gypsy heritage in its use of bright bold patterns and colors .
